DotCom Magazine - New Product Announcement

Hundreds of new devices are launched each year for health and sports enthusiasts and DotCom Magazine has named the ExtremeMist™ PCS as its number one pick for the coolest new product for hiking.

Hiking for health and relaxation is one of the most popular activities in the U.S. No matter how safe the trail, responsible hiking means more than simply taking along a bottle of water and a bag of trail mix. To help keep people safe, DotCom Magazine has announced its choice of the coolest new product for hiking. DotCom Magazine recently tested the ExtremeMist System on Camelback Mountain in Phoenix Arizona, and our testing team was absolutely blown away. The system is our number one pick for the best new outdoor product this year. Simply put, it’s a game changer for hiking and outdoor activity, when keeping cool is not only desired, but keeping cool becomes a safety issue as well.

Staying cool while hiking is extremely important and the ExtremeMist™ Personal Cooling System (PCS) is the first hands-free portable misting system for hiking. When the body overheats, it has obvious physical effects, but it also affects the brain. Cognition, clarity, memory and the ability to make decisions is reduced and people become more impaired the warmer the body becomes.

The ExtremeMist™ PCS was developed for hiking and it’s equally appropriate for cycling and running. It’s not just physical exertion that can cause the body to overheat. Dry air in high altitudes also causes the body to warm. The ExtremeMist™ PCS cools the body and provides individuals with the means to moisturize surrounding air for better respiration.

Compact and lightweight, it weighs 16 oz. so it won’t slow down sports enthusiasts. Available as a retro-fit kit, it transforms any hydration backpack or daypack into an instant cooling station. The ExtremeMist™ PCS provides a fine, continuous mist directly in front of the user, effectively creating a personal cloud of cooling moisture that can reduce the ambient temperature by up to 30 degrees Fahrenheit.

The mister measures 7.5×3.5×1.5 inches and contains a rechargeable lithium ion battery that can last up to 16 hours before recharging. The pump has multiple speeds that are controlled via a convenient wireless key fob. The kit contains all the connectors, hoses, clips and nozzles required for assembly, along with the battery and charger.

The ExtremeMist™ PCS was created by an avid outdoorsman living in Arizona that had also trekked through the Sahara. Ron Laikind, inventor and CEO of Extreme Mist says, “The development of the mister has enabled him to spend more time outdoors and the device has a variety of uses for individuals ranging from construction workers and police to road workers. It’s equally applicable for yard work, while watching sports, and at the beach and concerts.”

Hundreds of new devices are launched each year for health and sports enthusiasts and DotCom Magazine has named the ExtremeMist™ PCS as its number one pick for the coolest new product for hiking. The device has a wide variety of uses to keep individuals cool and comfortable while engaging in a myriad of activities.

Our people at DotCom magazine look at a lot of new products and startup businesses. We are happy to report that the ExtremeMist PCS system delivers as promised. This product receives our “A” grade for product design and delivering on what it promises. Happy hiking!
